I recently purchased a 1991 Cadillac. Im having issues with not being able to fill my gas tank because it keeps shutting off the gas pump after 70. Cents worth of gas. I check the canister it’s good. I blow out th hose going to the canister from the gas tank. My gas sending unit is bad because my gauge doesn’t work. It’s always reading FULL.
Does it fill if you use the slow setting on the pump?
I’d be looking at item 4.

My 1990 has been doing the same thing for years. Have stopped trying to figure it out and just use a bit of patience running the gas in slowly.
