Cannot Get Pulse from the distributor of my 1990 Isuzu Amigo

I have a 1990 Isuzu Amigo. I cannot get a pulse from the distributor. I have replaced the distributor 3 times. In my
Chilton’s I canot find the correct wiring schematic. There are 3 wires coming out of the distributor and the Chilton’s don’t show this. I have spent hours trying to figure out this problem. A mechanic was unable to get a pulse. Can anyone help.

Have you checked to make sure proper voltage is getting to the sensor? It sounds like the trouble isn’t within the disty but possibly in the wiring to it.

getting voltage to the disty, not gettin a spark to the sparkplug.

Have you checked if the ignition coil is defective?

I am reticent to suggest something so basic. Is the distributor actually turning? The distributor is turned by the overhead cam. If the timing belt is broken the cam and distributor will not turn.

Hope This Helps.
