I can’t see out of my driver side mirror. Looks like the layer or glue or whatever between the glass and the reflective surface is gelled up or frozen. I can push on the glass and it squishes around a little underneath. I bought a used replacement from ebay and it did the same thing. I live in MN.
I would never buy auto parts from EBAY . Check with a local auto glass shop , they may be able to reglue your original mirror .
Rock Auto has the mirror glass with backing plate for a reasonable price.
Most glass places will replace it at reasonable prices. The job is just too easy.
