Maybe you don’t need to buy one if those Grumman mail trucks to get one. I used to work at a government installation. I could get anything in the surplus warehouse at no cost as long as my Branch Manager signed off on it. I could even get items from other government branches. I could go to the Fort Meade surplus depot and get stuff there as long as someone in DoD didn’t want it. Ask your boss about it and see if he knows anything about using surplus trucks. If not, contact the USPS surplus group and find out if it can be done and how.
Never intend to let my wife drive this vehicle unless she wants to and I’m present. My wife has her own vehicle and that’s of no concern, so.
No one will likely ever drive this vehicle without me being present. I guess there are some people I would trust to drive it, but again that doesn’t pertain to my question.
I really like this idea and I certainly will ask my boss about doing this.
However, I’m not buying an LLV. Lol those things are getting retired for a reason. I just assume drive something that can go over 55 mph when I need it to (very rural area).
Again, purchasing an LLV isn’t viable right now, and while I would take one for free, I am still wondering if I can put my back seat on the front frame, that is all I am wondering. I have the day off tomorrow (maybe) and I might just take the damn thing off and flip it over and try it out for myself because nobody still can answer the question, only recommend an LLV and that they wouldn’t drive that thing without airbags all that good stuff.
So anyway, does anybody have a recommendation on what I should do to fix my seat situation?
