Can I swap the passenger seat with my drivers seat in a 2005 Chevy express van?
I would say just find a drivers seat through a salvage yard locator service. Of course you will get better replies if you say why you want to do this.

The seat tracks will undoubtedly match.
The potential problem will result from the following issue:
Does this vehicle have side-impact air bags built into the outer edge of the seat?
If the answer is “yes”, then in the event of a side impact, there will be no protection from that impact because the air bag will be on the “wrong” side of the seat.

If you disassemble the seat, you can probably move the seat covers if that is your goal. In addition to the air bag issue, seat adjustment hardware is part of the seat too. Power seats have all adjustments on the side, and all seats have rake adjustments on the side. I think I’d go for new seat covers or surplus seats if upholstery replacement is your goal. You can replace the seat foam too.
