1998 eldorodo, put on fuel pump inside of tank, now it is hard to start as if it is not getting fuel, but after it starts it runs good and will restart with no problem, but after it sets for a few hours its hard to start again, check lines for leak

Was this a new pump? This is the kind of thing you might get out of a weak pump with a bad check valve. Do you always hear the pump running when you turn the key (a brief humming sound)? Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what is happening in terms of fuel pressure.
How old is the fuel filter? If it hasn’t been changed it may have killed your old pump and be interfering with the operation of this one.
What were the symptoms that led you to replace the fuel pump to begin with?
