Breakdown created by cold weather?

Can anyone give me a suggestion as to where to start with this one? I drive a 1999 dodge ram 2500 - cummins diesel engine. On a very cold morning -10, I didn’t leave enough time for my usual warm up and drove off to work. After driving on the road for about 5 to 10 minutes, the truck stopped while driving and would not restart? The fuel filter looks as if it needs to be changed, but other than that I’m not sure what else it could be. Up until now it has been running great. Any suggestions?

When temperatures drop below freezing for an extended period of time, diesel fuel can begin to jell. There are diesel fuel anti-jell additives sold to prevent this from happening if it’s expected the temperatures are going to drop below freezing for an extended period.
