Brake pedal squeals when released. It as if it makes it 99% of the way up and then sticks, if I tap the brake pedal it will stop. Brakes have been totally replaced; wondering if master cylinder has vacuum leak or what problem is.
I assume you mean the brakes squeal and not the pedal…
Maybe a sticking caliper on one wheel. It would be worth checking as they generally don’t get better on their own. Just a little lubrication on the slide pins may be all it needs. I would have it checked. Just replacing them doesn’t mean they were properly lubed. Jack up one wheel at a time, apply brake and release without tapping, then rotate each wheel and check for noise and drag. Check also the brake fluid level and brake return springs…as well as the pivot on the pedal arm which could stick…
