I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. I’ve owned it for 3 years and have not had issues with it. I was driving home last night when the brakes failed at a stop light. I had come to a complete stop then traffic moved up a few feet so I took my foot off the brake and rolled forward. When I went to brake again nothing happened. I pushed the brake and there was the same normal resistance but no stopping. I put the car in park which stopped the vehicle. Then I restarted and the brakes worked again. No warning lights came on.
I took it to the mechanic this morning and they can’t find anything wrong other than my rear brake pads were a little low. Getting those replaced now but I’m a little worried about driving my Jeep. I have a one year old and can’t imagine if that were to happen with her in the car. Any thoughts?
Tow the vehicule to the nearest independant mechanic or the dealer. There is definetely something wrong with your brakes.
