I had my 2012 VW Golf 2.5L serviced today and the inspection report mentions some seepage at the brake vacuum pump that they referred to as “level 1” and said I could just monitor it for now. To fix they said would involve resealing and the quote they provided was $872.59 Does this seem reasonable…

I’ve replaced several VW vacuum pumps for oil leaks. Your leak appears minor now but will gradually worsen and start to leave spots on your driveway. The price quoted seems quite reasonable.

Yeah I looked at a Youtube video showing the replacement process and it seemed quite involved, so I guess the quote wasn’t too bad. This same shop quoted $1200 to replace the two rear shocks, which to me seemed very high.
