Anyone know why it sounds like an airplane coming in for a landing when I apply my brakes? BTW I have an 86 mercedes 300e if that helps.
I’m guessing you have reached the point of metal on metal with your brake pads COMPLETELY worn down. My airplane doesn’t sound like that, but I can’t think of any noise that you might hear when stepping on the brakes other than a serious grinding sound.
What does your plane sound like? It may have serious problems too.
It’s not a grinding sound. The only way I can describe it is that it sounds the way it sounds when you’re on a plane and it’s just landed and is slowing down on the runway. It’s not loud, just kind of strange. I think I may just need new pads.
