I have a Honda Civic 2001 Lx.
Recently my break lights went out and I tried first replacing the fuse and then the bulbs. They worked briefly and then went out again.
Check the switch.
The brake light switch is under the dashboard, and contacts the brake pedal. If the switch is faulty, or incorrectly adjusted the brake lights may not work.
