Brake Lights on a 2006 PT Cruiser

It will do a restet but the information I see online says it takes for 2 hours to overnight and helps if you take off both battery cables and connect them together. The idea is to drain all electricity from the capacitors.

Much easier with dealer level scan equipment.

Disconnecting and reconnecting the TIPM can cause broken solder joints and failing circuit board connections to restore connection temporarily, that is about all you can do with a failing TIPM.

Chrysler’s StarScan is a fine scan tool but can’t really help with a failing TIPM, it is not a sophisticated module, there is no reset procedure for the TIPM.
