The brake light on my car has been coming on only while driving. When stopped it goes out but turns on as soon as I start driving again. What could this mean?
Check the level of brake fluid in the reservoir. The light may indicate low fluid level.
Assuming that you are talking about the brake warning light on the dashboard, rather than the vehicle’s brake lights in the rear, then you should follow mcparadise’s advice.
If your battery warning light is coming on at the same time as the brake warning light on the dashboard, that is an indication that your alternator is failing.
That was the light I was talking about. I did check and the fluid level seemed to be OK but I think I will get some fluid and put a little more in and see if that helps. Thanks.
