2003 Toyota Matrix. At 77,000 miles I had the front brake rotors machined and pads replaced at a dealership. Now, at low speed, I can hear a tick, tick, tick as the brakes are applied. I’m satisfied that the noise is actually from the brakes. The pedal doesn’t pulse and the car stops well. So my question is: should I expect the machined rotors to be as smooth as new, or is this noise normal?
Redo the brake job, but this time replace the rotors.
