Bigger rotors but pads leave 1/2” bare on rotor. New rotors look odd and old rotors have same wear pattern. Why not bigger pads? Inside/outside pads are identical in size/steel part. It’s for a Honda. Dosent anyone make “perf” pads?
The radial distance is more important than the height of the pad.
The caliper might not have clearance for a bigger pad.
And those aftermarket drilled rotors are likely used for a number of different cars some of which might use the inner drilled suface this car does not reach.
Performance pads might be available but they will be shaped exactly like the pads you have there with a different compound.
From the picture, they look exactly the same as the pads you have. And no mention about them being “performance” anything, just in the daily driver catagory. My guess is that the 58mm comes from including the bumps on the bottom and top of the pad… total height, not just friction material width.
I will note that it seems every pad that lists a height, lists 58mm.
But, hey, order a set and find out if they cover more rotor. They are only $25
