Not in the UK but I haven’t used BP gas for many years. My bil related a story of a guy having fuel problems and the mechanic said they had a high incidence of problems with BP for whatever reason.
I hadn’t used my bp credit card in maybe ten years so I got a notice to use it or lose it. So I charged $14 for Mobil gas and they liked me again. Then I got another notice so I charged another $14 worth. Then they sent me a new card, and yesterday said they upgraded my card and credit limit and will send the new super duper card whether I want it or not.
I think what has happened is the business has been sold to a new bank. Lot of that going on. I’ve had the standard oil, now BP motor club for 40 years at least and same thing there some five years ago or so. Had to switch to a debit card instead of the bp card then for quarterly billing. At any rate I don’t use bp gas now especially when traveling, for good or bad, avoid the green.
