Good for you OP. I had to give up running for exercise b/c of a hip problem – maybe b/c I’m an ancient “hipster” … lol … but biking works for me too. Since you are renewing your biking after some years, good idea to follow the exercise advice I’ve always used: start slow and taper off. Be sure to wear the appropriate safety gear, especially an ansi-approved bike helmet that is properly fitted.
