The OP is a master of the “yes, but…” game. Continued replies will only prolong this already tired thread.
I have no idea what the mechanic said or even if my dad took it to one. He told us he did but didn’t go into detail as to what he said.
I don’t even think you should be driving with such a limited knowledge about cars or anything else, for that matter!! Has he crashed yet??
“As for removing the fluid, I struggle to put fluid in my car, I have zero mechanical ability plus couldn’t fit under my dad’s car if I tried.”
One thing that we, as human beings, are superior to other species in the animal kingdom is our ability to learn. If you can find an online forum talking about cars, you can find many youtube videos showing you how to find a bleed screw and how to take one off, amongst many other useful informations about an automobile.
You don’t even need to get under a car. Just have a mirror, a flash light, and a wrench handy.
Seriously, be resourceful and learn from the internet when you need to accomplish something rather then replying with “yes, but” comments. Learning today is easier than going to the library like we had to 20 years ago.
Just to give this thread some closure, please be sure to let us know when his brakes finally give out. Include video if available.
Well he heads back out tomorrow for his 2nd followup visit to the VA, hasn’t driven the car since last week, will have to wait and see.
Enough already. Is there really anything else left to say? If you are going through Indiana, just be careful. Sheesh. Dad won’t listen, kids have no money, no credit cards, know nothing about cars, car locked up, offers of free parts and repairs go unclaimed, lawsuits threatened, police contacted, lawyer consulted, social services contacted, holy tamoli, enough already. Help the poor guy with the oil guage problem instead.
