I have a 1999 audi a4 quattro. Whenever I turn left while going over 50, there is a horrid noise on the drivers side. It is like a grinding noise, almost as if i was riding over the rumble strips. Someone said maybe wheel bearing. The tire has alot of play when shaken back and forth. But others say its the pass anger side bearing if the noise is on the left. However the drivers side rear tire has a ton of play the passenger side has none.
It is the side with the play. Although the passenger side could be bad too. They can make a noise and not have play. But the one with play is bad for sure.
This sounds like four figure noise to me, by the time they give you the full Monty…
