Automotive diagnostic app opinion

I need some honest feedback about a new car app that runs on a low spec android phone. The app connects to any obdii bluetooth adapter plugged into the car diagnostic port. obdii Pids can be selected to display in gauges and charts that update continuously. It has been tested with an ELM327 dongle. I can provide more details to interested readers.

Is this something you want to buy? If so, where is a link or even a name?

If this is something you are developing for sale, those posts are not allowed here.

BTW there is lots of competition in this particular field, just compare yours to the competition.

Thomas revived a 12 year old thread to claim he is developing an APP so yes I think he is a stealth Spammer.

Sounds like what most on here call Spam…

Until “Thomas” actually hints at selling something, it’s not SPAM IMHO.
In the meantime, ongoing hostility to newcomers keeps this forum from growing.

That’s it with my monthly check-in…

I will give some feedback on these apps.

If all you offer are the standard set of PIDs as mandated by the government, there is lots of competition. Many with configurable gauge displays. Torque Pro and OBD Fusion are 2 good ones. And both are free for the basic versions.

If you can buy additional PIDs specific to Ford, GM, or VW, ect, that is an income path worth pursuing. Some apps have some carlines available but not all. An example; OBD Fusion has Ford PIDS. OBDEleven is a good VW app but require their own dongle and it is a paid subscription service. No one covers all carlines.

That is very good feedback and thank you. I purchased an obd autodoctor subscription a couple of years ago for $59.95. There was an issue with cancelling the subscription so out of frustration I came up with and developed my own diagnostic tool. I am looking for feedback on styling and functionality to improve the app.

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.obdii.digidash . You need a google account to download it. I have tested it with ELM327 dongles. Any feature requests can be easily incorporated into the app, that is kinda what I was hoping for.
