Automatic Door Locks

I have a 2000 Dodge Conversion Van with a Viper alarm and the alarm key fob has always worked fine locking and setting the alarm. Now it will not lock the doors, but sets the alarm. However, now the lock button in the car makes a noise and the locks (all of them) seem to go down slowly. The fuse is fine in the car and there is no fuse under the hood. Please help!

Read the FAQ and the owner’s manual for your system if you have not done so already. Once you know a bit more, you might send Viper an email asking moe specific questions.

It sounds to me that the voltage for the lock operation is low. This will make the solenoids for the locks sluggish. Look for a faulty power connection.
