I guess you have to identify what it is you want to do and go from there. If you just want to know when your car is being tampered with so you can run out with a bat in a knife fight, that’s one thing. If you want to stop the car from being stolen, then wire in a kill switch. Worse that will happen is a dead battery. A kill switch is less than $10 and very effective.
