Audi’s former boss, the former head of engineering, and a former lead diesel engineer received suspended jail sentences and big fines for their roll in changing the Audi diesel drive train software after pollution tests to provide more power. The former CEO of Audi, Rupert Stadler, was ordered to pay 1.1 million euros. The other fines were not disclosed. It’s good to see that kingpins are held accountable somewhere in the world. In this case, Germany.

I still remember back in 2015 when this was discovered. Glad to see something being done.
