I was only able to find a mention in passing about the Polestar 2. Nothing in the dropdown about volvo or polestar
What kind if information do you want ? If you have a question just ask it or it something that might not be on the Volvo web site?

There also seems to be a lack of interest in Polestar vehicles. When I visit Short Hills Mall, the Lucid showroom always has a crowd of curious people, but the Polestar showroom is always devoid of people.
Now I know what kind of car that is, have been seeing their logo on several cars, had no idea of what it was.
You won’t find much on this forum. Polestar 2 has only been mentioned 7 times in the past, not a great source of up-to-date information.
On this forum Studebaker is brought up more often in conversation than Polestar.
I think just about every make is brought up more than Polestar!
Although I did see a TV commercial once.
Pole Star? Isn’t that what a popular exotic dancer is called?
How soon will I get flagged?
Think about it… when was the last time that you saw a Polestar vehicle?
While I have seen them a few times, it is a very rare occurrence.
By contrast, last weekend I saw two different Bentley Continental GT convertibles, plus a Bentley Bentayga, within the space of about 20 minutes, and between those sightings, I saw some sort of McLaren.
But… no Polestars!
I was just wondering why in the review of EVs polestar was only mentioned as an also ran. I am interested in one and was wondering why it was basically left out of the top 10 or whatever the grouping was. What were the issues that caused that?
Usually the people doing side by side tests explain why the vehicles are ranked the way they are. Whomever put the list together should have explained that, but beware of subjective vs objective factors.
The Polestar 2 got a very poor review from Consumer Reports. I’d avoid it.
“The Polestar 2, a tall hatchback from Volvo’s electric vehicle sub-brand, failed to impress with its bone-jarring ride, tight interior, and confusing controls, all of which more than overshadowed the positives of its zippy acceleration and agile handling. We saw 248 miles in our own 70-mph highway range test with our 2021 Polestar 2. For the 2025 model, only the dual-motor AWD Performance version is available which has an EPA range of 254 miles. It takes more than 10 hours to charge on a 240-volt connection. The AWD version is capable of DC fast charging at 155 kW.”
Consumer Reports reviewed the 2025 Polestar 2. They liked the acceleration, handling and braking. They did I not like the jarring ride, tight interior, and confusing controls. Predicted reliability is poor. If you are looking in this price range, CR likes the BMW i4 best, followed by the i5, then Porsche Taycan, Tesla Model S and the Mercedes Benz EQS rounds out the top five.
Edit: @texases got there first! My report from CR is complimentary to his and I’ll let it stand.
Thanks. That is the first I heard that they predicted the reliability to be poor.
There are dozens of electric vehicles on the market, John Goreham (of Car Talk) and crew have only reviewed the most popular models.
