Are the Cap/Rotor still good?

It better be a lean surge/vacuum leak of some sort - I will be relieved.
I had a awakening that the ‘opportunity cost’ is high as I spend more time on it that I took it to a Honda specialist mom/papa shop. He is busy so being patient.

BTW, a Thundra gave misfire since a mouse got killed in the timing pulley and skipped a tooth or two!

About 10 years ago my Lincoln developed a random buck around 40 to 45 MPH. No CEL, no codes, no nothing. It would only do this while exiting a sweeping curve and not all of the time.

Did some digging and found the cause. The PCV hose had a razor cut like slit in it which could not be seen or felt. During certain times while accelerating the manifold vacuum would cause the hose to try and pinch shut. That it turn would open the slit up in the PCV hose which would then cause some air to bypass the MAF sensor in the intake tract.
Replaced that 4" of hose and all was well.

So you were referring to the end without the threads - ie boot end?

Which end you were noticing “goop on the plugs looked bad”?

M/c told me that there was too much anti seize (bad to the car) and he removed them. Perhaps you have sharp eyes!

Simply noting what looked like not a clean metal end and debris where the rubber boot slips onto the plug

A sensible Honda m/c asked me look elsewhere saying this is what he sees typically. Having changed these parts, I did not notice any improvement while driving. At the end rotor/cap are inexpensive but Honda price had gone since I last purchased. With all this printed cash, inflation is inevitable!

We are looking for a house, prices are nuts, plywood prices are nuts, looking a hotel in june, for a road trip, $20 more than last June, same hotel. Hear car prices are going nuts also, I was talking to financial advisor yesterday, I figured we were in for a crash, stocks are up, and reading about 5 mile lines for food pantries I do not get it at all!
