Just acquired a basic (non turbo) 91 with 46,000 miles and am looking for general advice/and recommendations for a mechanic/repair shop for the replacement of the timing belt.
Look for a car club in upstate NY with your interests. A quick web search should show some choices. There is also a frequent poster that races Capris. Maybe he has something for you.
Its a Mazda engine. I had a new 1993 for 7 years. Any shop experienced at timing belt replacement should have no problem. Check the mechanics’s files on this site.
