Air Filter 2004 Buick Century

I just changed my air filter for my engine on my 2004 Buick century. Talk about a pain in the ass! Anyway I unplug a electric circuit, that snapped on and off, that is connected close to the air filter(don’t know the proper name for it). When I replaced the air filter, i drove the car by mistake before reconnecting that electric plug. Now I have the “service your engine soon” light on. Is this related to my “expert” mechanics job on the air filter?

You forgot to plug the Mass Air Flow sensor back in. And this will most certainly turn on the Check Engine light. But don’t worry. Drive the car for a while and the Check Engine light will turn off.

(Of course, Tester assumes you’re going to plug the MAF sensor back in, which you should.)
