I have a 2001 Dodge Intrepid. I had my ac serviced last week because it was blowing hot. I turned the air on today and its blowing hot again. What is the problem and how much will it cost to fix?
I’m not sure what was done in terms of servicing the AC - I’ll have to assume it was just a check of the pressure in the system. But The first thing I would do is go back to the shop that I paid to “service” it and tell them that it still blows hot.
Back to the place the “fixed” it. They missed something. That something could have been a refrigerant leak. If they just recharged a low system and missed the leak that caused the problem then you wasted what you already spent.
What did they do last week? Did it work for the last week?
It is possible it is just a vacuum hose that is keeping the blend door in the default heat position.
They checked for leaks and added 2 pounds of refrigerant. The cold air blew the first time I put the ac on. After that…hot air again.
