Air bag light came on 2001 montana
Call a repair shop. It’s not worth an inadvertently released air bag (or, more) for an inexperienced person to mess with it.

Power drivers seat?
Check for loose wiring connections under the seat.
Turn the key to ON and wiggle the connections if the light goes off that’s your problem.
Side air bags in the front seats (along with the rest of them) become inoperative when this happens.
