To get switched power and retain your door and window chimes in GM cars year 2000 later (Like my 05 Sunfire), you need a special module.
I had a Scosche GM2000 unit which seems to have burned out on my after only a year or so. Does anybody have experience working with both? Is the Metra one (at about $80)really worth it, costing twice as much as the other? More reliable?
Theres an adaptor that i could only find at a Car stereo shop, its called ‘Peripheral’. Cost about $100. Pain to install though.
