I need to replace the rear catalytic converter on my 1999 Miata. Are after market catalytic converters just as good as the Mazda catalytic converter? The after markets are much cheaper.
Yes, they are just as good. Get a “direct fit” OEM-replacement converter and you’ll never know the difference.
Yes, after market converters are usually much cheaper.
The are government controlled so they end up being equal quality to the OEM.
And in all likelyhood Mazda does NOT make their converters. They are made for them by some other company.
