Yesterday I was topping off the oil in a 98 Lesabre and as I started to pour it looked a bit red. I stopped. I believe someone put trany fluid in a bottle of that said oil. I would say I put in a 1/4 of a qt give or take. Likely less than that. I assume this will not cause any harm. Should I let it be or change it again.
Leave it alone. That 98 LeSabre has one of the toughest V6 engines ever made. Also, transmission fluid is basically 5 weight oil with dye and additives.

Thanks. Its basically a winter car, and will not be driven much during the summer.

Agree, I wouldn’t worry one bit over 1/4 to 1/2 quart or so. Won’t hurt a thing.
