I just had my brakes inspected (twice!) and everything appears to be fine, but the brake light will come on and stay on. I can get the brake light to go off by opening the master cylinder. There is always a “pressure being released” sound when this happens. Like opening up a vacuum sealed jar. Also the problem of the brake light going on usually happens after a change in the outside temperature. Any ideas?
you mean the brake light on the gauge cluster, right, not the tail lights?
You’re low on brake fluid.
It is the brake light and the fluid level is fine. The mechanics found nothing wrong, but once the weather changes I’m sure the light will be back on it short order.
