AC Sealants

Anybody have any thoughts about the use of air conditioning sealants that you put in prior to freon, coolant, R 134 or whatever it is called. I don’t want to spend alot of money, but don’t want to use this if it’s not a good idea, and appreciate your thoughts!

If would be best if you had the leak correctly repaired.
The sealant might help, but it might also cause problems. I wouldn’t use it unless you have decided to otherwise go without air conditioning. (Once you put it in, it will make it harder to get the system repaired correctly.)

Usually, these “sealants” do NOTHING, good or bad…
