My 2000 buick lesabre air conditioner stared leaking on the passengerside floor board and now the blower died. checked fan, has power to it but was all wet inside compartment. water still comes out under car but don’t know if fan going bad causes wetness or visa-versa?
Condensation in the evaporator housing is a normal situation.This condensation should immediatly drain to the outside.Water on the passenger side floor is not normal.You have already satisfied yourself that this moisture is water and not coolant from a leaking heater core.Blowers will fail without exposure to excessive moisture,being in a environment of excessive (not draining evaporator)does not increase your blowers life span.Clear your blocked evaporator drain and replace your blower.
