I have a 98 stratus,the thing will run good on the way to work for about 6 miles and shut right off.I pull over and it does start back up,sometimes right away sometimes takes alittle while.It has 180000 miles on it so I doint want to stick much money in it but I cant get nothing for trade either so im stuck!!!

Without getting too specific, this sounds like something in the ignition system is getting hot, and opening (cutting out) the spark to the spark plugs. It could be the ignition module, coil, or other. Check for spark strength. Check the ignition system by the book (Stratus manual, Haynes, or Chilton’s MODEL specific manual …NOT the BIG BOOK!
