My 96 Saturn when I turn the key, the lights come on but the engine will not start. I replaced the clutch start switch and it worked for a little while but now I have the same problem. Could it be the starter or the ignition?
Does the engine turn over when you try to start it?
No. The idiot lights come on but that is all. No turn over at all.
Attach a jumper cable from the engine block or any metal part on the engine to the ground terminal of the battery and try again. Don’t get that part wrong! If it works, change the negative battery cable and clean the engine to body ground too.
