I have a 96 tracker, 5 speed manual, that makes a loud whine noise when it drives. It also just recently started acting up when I accelerate. In any gear, in low RPM’s, it’s starting to do a slight sputtering until I get it to about 2800 rpms, then it goes away.
How many miles on the Tracker, and is all required maintenance up to date?
Have you checked the oil level in the transmission and the differentials?
When was the last time the spark plugs were changed?
