i have a 95 jimmy and the brake padel is hard as a rock it like i have no power brakes,would this be caused by the brake booster.thks

It is highly likely that you have a large vacuum leak which has caused the power booster to be ineffective. Lift the hood and listen for a HISSSSSS with the engine running.

thanks. i took the vac hose off booster and it seems to have lots of suckin

That isn’t a test. Hard brake pedal is a test. Review the test procedures in the Haynes manual. The brakes failed one test already.
