'94 Chevy PU 1500 Std Cab HVAC dash control panel

Had to replace Control panel (stolen). Found used one but the ID markings on buttons are not visible at night with lights on. What is problem? Is it possible to make a DIY repair?

Did the wiring for the lights get connected properly and did you check to see if there is voltage getting to the dash lights when the lights are on? If there is voltage getting to the panel then the lights are most likely burned out and need to be replaced.
