The bolt holding a pulley for the timing belt has broken off. The interior of the bolt is plastic (inside a 1-2 milimeter of metal). I’m not a car expert, but plastic seems an od choice for a bolt that is in rotation whenever the car is running. Can someone explain why this bolt would contain so much plastic?
