'92' chevy Cav. wagon W/air

I have a torque converter problem and i’m limited to about 10 miles driving at a time. Can the cylinoid be disconnect by me at haome or does it need to go to the shop? Do I have other options? Please help me, I just lost my job and I need to start a job search asap…thanx

Yes, you can unplug the torque converter clutch solenoid connector at the side of the transmission. This will be either a blue or green colored connector.

thank you, one more question if you don’t mind. do i need to put my car up on a lift or can i just jack it up to do the job?
Dave

You should be able to open the hood and reach down to the side of the transmission and unplug it.
