How hard is this to fix. Some Guys in Los Banos took two days to replace a fuel pump. End result, new pump not grounded so continually drains battery unless I mess with a fuse everytime I start/stop car.
Not grounded? Maybe the shop forgot to take out the jumper wire they used to test the pump. Find the fuel pump relay location and if there’s a jumper wire in place of the relay “Viola.”
If the new pump wasn’t grounded, it wouldn’t run, and would not drain anything from the battery. Can you hear the pump running with the car off? Sounds like maybe a stuck relay or they jumpered it, like Rod Knox said.
And if you find it jumpered, it makes me question whether the pump was the problem and if they truly replaced it…
