How could anyone but the parts store factually answered your question? Have you checked their web sites? Called them?
Okay, here is my answer: Maybe
You know the plastic pins that hold panels? I almost always would drop one into an inaccessible spot. Some auto part stores had the correct size, others did not. I ended up buying a box of multiple different sizes on line. Highly unlikely I ever will use them all.
Same with your bolt, maybe if they have a rack or bins of fasteners.
Because s/he has purchased or seen it at a parts store or know that some cars use this part.

Yes. That’s what I wrote in my original post.
That’s not an answer. I already knew that.
I dunno, i needed about a 1/4 20 two inch or so self tapping bolt, not screw for carb work. The one I had used for ten years was shot. I found them in packs of five for about $5 plus shipping. I just ordered them. No big deal. I’ve never missed the $10.
I needed a left hand 5 mm nut for one of my chain saws. I ordered two from the local fastenal store. About $3 and two days. No one had it, not even the dealer.
I don’t know what all this is about.
An 8mmx1.25 22mm socket head cap screw? Right…
You’d likely have much better luck on a bike forum.
I’m pretty sure I just threw out 4 of these exact bolts when I replaced the mechanical brake calipers on my son’s e-bike with hydraulic versions. What an improvement! Bike was only a month old, so which bolt set would you keep, the old or the new?
I asked there first. I bought 1 at Home Depot years ago.
