Would a broken control arm on a front-wheel drive car cause the car not to accelerate to the car’s potential? I drove a nice Eldo several weeks ago, and the car had no pick up, took forever to accelerate to highway speed. The owner discovered the car had a broken left control arm. I know this affects the steering/suspension, but could this problem also cause the slow acceleration? Thanks!
I think the weak acceleration can be attributed to the HT-4100 engine and it’s whopping 135 HP (when new) in conjunction with the car’s hefty 3700 pound weight.
