I’ve got a 1976 C-10 Chevy Scottsdale. Lately i’ve been having trouble with fuzes popping left and right for my tail lights, brake lights, and blinkers. I’ve been going over every wire to find a short from bumper to bumper, I can’t find it… i need ideas of where to look, or what it might possibly be.
The most common area to check is the turn signal switch. Since the left and right signals are affected it’s probably a shorted turn signal switch. They can still be purchased at most auto parts stores. I found several for about $30. Thank goodness the multifunction switch was not in use yet.
Do you have a wiring harness for a trailer on your C-10 Scotsdale? If so, this is a possibility.
