7 seater US cars?

I was surprised to see the Nissan Rogue commercial last night on the Superbowl - it showed a 3rd row in this ‘compact’ SUV. I checked, a 3rd row is an option, but BOY it looks tight!

My father was a Ford Country Squire Station Wagon man himself. (You know, the ones with the faux wood paneling along the sides!) The last one he had didn’t have those rear jump seats installed, we used that compartment as a “trunk” to hide cargo in. Boy, you just don’t see real cars like that on the road anymore. Brings back fond memories. Everything is an “SUV” or a “CUV” (whatever that means) or a “crossover” now.

A Ford Flex looks like the old style station wagon and can be had with 3 rows of seats. Other than being ugly and expensive, it is about the only CAR type vehicle that can seat 7
It's actually classified as a cross-over. And while it looks something like the old wagons...it's not as big. The old Caprice wagon my dad had was over a foot longer and wider..and weighed about 1000lbs more.
