Ah, I see. Yes. For some reason I misread the title of the post to say 2011-2016. I was thinking of the old 4.3 that was in use until 2012.
Those 3.5 Ecoboosts are pretty peppy, but I still prefer the old-fashioned grunt of a slow turning V8.

Any camper shell will reduce you fuel economy by two or three miles per gallon highway, if not more. If you must have one, go right ahead but at least you know where the fuel economy went. I think you should try the V-6.
