what kind of windshield wiper fluid is recommended for temps between -10 and +10 degrees Fahrenheit?
I don’t know what Tesla recommends or requires, but for my older vehicles I use 95% water/5 % isopropyl alcohol plus a touch of liquid dishwashing detergent at typical San Jose area temperature ranges, which are seldom below 32 deg F.
Remember that whatever you use comes in contact with various parts on the car, esp in the areas near the windshield, and not every car’s parts are compatible with every conceivable WW fluid recipe. Safest course is to purchase this product at your Tesla dealership. Second safest is to ask the dealership what they recommend.
5% isopropyl alcohol/water freezes at 26 F.
For -10 F, a 40% alcohol mixture is needed.
ooops , deg C vs deg F confusion … but yes, water freezes at 32 F, not what I was thinking, 0 F.
I think it’s going to depend on what state you’re in
Last time I was in California you couldn’t buy the winter blend, even in winter.
Excellent, thank you!
